I refuse to teach formulas. Not only will I teach you how to do something, but more importantly I'll explain why it works. You'll learn valuable skills that will enable you to problem solve in typical shooting situations. You will then have the tools to light and create your ideas.

"The best teachers are one-fourth preparation and three-fourths theater." I have been told that I'm 90% theater. I try to teach and make it fun. My goal is to impart a ton of knowledge to my students, as well as share my love and passion for photography. I don't want to create clones, instead I want to help fashion creative thinking photographers.

I am holding a "Meet Up" in San Francisco on Wednesday Feb 10 at 6 PM at the Library Bar in the Clift Hotel, 495 Geary St. "What is a meet up?" you ask. It is a time and a place that I hang out and meet with people, fans, models, students, art directors, all in a social setting. At each of these I'll drag along what ever model I can get, so all you photographers can meet them in person, book shoots, say hi, and get comfortable in a non shooting environment.

The wonderful Miss Luana Lani will for sure be there. She is in San Francisco that week shooting. If you have wanted to shoot her, this is a great chance. Come check out my first meet up! You can come pick my brain for photo wisdom, or I'll tell stories, or maybe we all will end up dancing on tables. Who knows what will happen? Email me if you are going to attend.
